Purpose and meaning

The partnership activity will result with qualifications standards in higher education for wood industry sector that will satisfy the needs of labour market not only in Croatia but also in Europe. Biotechnical Faculty of University in Ljubljana will benefit through the experience and acquaintance with procedures of qualifications standards development that will be useful for the development and implementation of qualifications framework in Slovenia. By participating in the project, SRCE will contribute to better implementation of the Strategy of e-learning at the University of Zagreb.
The project will also result in a practical course for development and enhancement of entrepreneurial competencies of students. A part of learning outcomes in study programmes will be achieved through developed and implemented student centred e-learning courses in accordance with the principles of CROQF, and through the use of an adequately equipped practical educational woodworking centre – both financed from the project budget.
Adjustment of the existing study programmes for wood technology in Croatian based on proper use of learning outcomes needed by labour market, by implementing inputs for modernization from comparison analysis of study programmes existing at leading European University in wood technology.
The target groups of the project or the final beneficiaries are the teachers and students in wood technology, employers in the wood industry sector, project stakeholders and society in general.
